Procedure for Obtaining a Personal Surety Bond

(Also sometimes referred to as a "Signature Bond" or a "Recognizance Bond")

Please make application for a Personal Surety Bond in person at the Bail Bond Office on the 3rd Floor of the courthouse, Suite 3401.

All applications will be presented to the Duty Judge for final approval. Judges DO NOT operate on a set time frame. The Bail Bond Program cannot and will not make any predictions as to when a Judge will review a request or how long the process may take.

NOTE: As the personal surety, you are taking the responsibility to ensure that the accused will make ALL court appearances until the conclusion of the case. If the individual misses any court appearance, you may be liable for the entire bond amount.

This office will only discuss the progress of requests with the qualifier IN PERSON.
