Judge brad myers

Division e - section 3

The Honorable Bradley C. Myers was elected in May 2022 to fill the 19th Judicial District Court’s vacant Division E seat. He will preside over Criminal Section 3. To illustrate the fact that your vote really does count, Judge Myers defeated his opponent by a mere two votes.

During his legal career, Judge Myers has been a member of the Defense Research Institute, the International Society of Barristers, the Fifth Circuit Bar Association, a fellow of the Louisiana Bar Foundation, and National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. He was a co-author of an analysis of the Louisiana Code of Evidence for the Baton Rouge Bar Association when it was originally passed and was a frequent speaker at the Louisiana City Attorneys Annual conference.

The Judge also served on the East Baton Rouge Parish Commission on Ethics, the Baton Rouge Recreation and Parks Commission Foundation, the Our Lady of Mercy Athletics Association and the LSU Track and Field Officials Association where he was the head starter for 30 years and was inducted into the LSU Track and Field Officials Hall of Fame.

Judge Myers has been married for 37 years to his wife Judy, who is a retired Deputy Chief Federal Probation and Parole Officer. They have two children.
