The Honorable Eboni Johnson Rose was elected to the Division K seat in December of 2020. Judge Johnson Rose presently presides over Criminal Section 4 and Civil Section 33.
Judge Johnson Rose received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Southern University in 2001. She later earned the Juris Doctorate degree in 2005 from Southern University Law Center, graduating Magna Cum Laude. The young attorney then embarked upon a legal career which started as an Associate Attorney with the McGlinchey Stafford law firm and after having gained experience in private practice, Johnson Rose was called to serve the State of Louisiana. She dutifully completed assignments as a Trial Attorney for the Department of Children and Family Services, the Department of Education, the Office of General Counsel for the Division of Administration, and the Department of Transportation and Development.
Judge Johnson Rose is a member of many civic, professional and social organizations, some of which are the National Bar Association, the Louisiana State Bar Association and the Baton Rouge Bar Association. She has served on the Board of Directors for “Motivating Excellence Academy of Student Success” and “Volunteers in Public Schools”.
The Judge is also a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. The Judge is married to Jonathan C. Rose, Sr. and they have two sons and twin daughters.
